CPR / AED / First Aid
Eastern AHEC’s CPR/AED/First Aid Trainings are Available
Become knowledgeable and skilled to make your workplace, home and community a safer place to be.
Eastern AHEC staff members are certified adult, child and infant CPR/AED and First Aid trainers for American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. Our upcoming classes are November 9 at our Willimantic site and December 9 at our Norwich site or you can book specifically for you or your staff.
Each class is available for anyone ages 16 or older. Those under 18 will need permission from parent/guardian. No prior medical training is necessary. Your course completion card in first aid and/or CPR/AED can assist you in meeting job, regulatory or other requirements and possibly save a life.
Each classroom, is developed with a hybrid video-based and hands-on format where an instructor teaches students the critical skills needed to respond to and manage injuries, sudden cardiac arrest, choking, heart attacks and other emergencies in the first crucial minutes until EMS arrives. Each classroom focuses on adults, children and infants.
Each successful student will receive First Aid, CPR/AED Student Workbook with Guide, hands on training and certificate.
Our trainings can accommodate 10-20 participants. In most cases, the CPR/AED & First Aid training lasts about seven (7) hours. (CPR/AED is about three (3) hours and the First Aid about four (4) hours.) All are available in English and Spanish.
